| The grant program that helped restore the original star-spangled banner, Rosa Parks' bus and hundreds of historic sites is now on the Obama administration's chopping block.
The program, Save America's Treasures, was created by then-first lady Hillary Clinton while her husband was in the oval office. It continued under the Bush administration.

The Small Business Administration has proposed a rule aimed at expanding federal contracting opportunities for women-owned small businesses.

| Brocton meeting to discuss grant possibilities |

| BROCTON - The Village of Brocton Board of Trustees are putting a call out to all village residents and business owners interested in seeing their downtown put a new face forward.
Mayor J. Dale Abram announced that John Murphy, the executive director of CHRIC, will hold a public meeting March 15 at 7 p.m. in Room 186 of Brocton Central School that will focus on granting possibilities through the New York State Main Street Program.
According to the mayor, this grant program assists New York state communities in revitalizing their Main Streets by providing stimulus funds as low as $50,000 and as high as $500,000.
